November 30

I haven't been feeling too spectacular lately, and my roommate has been gone all weekend, so the majority of my weekend was spent in my room. Exciting, right? I went to dinner with my friends on Saturday night, and we went Black Friday shopping the day before, but besides that, it was just me, my bed and my laptop, it was glorious. I also watched a lot of football. The OSU vs UM game was on at 6pm here, and the FSU vs. UF game was on at 1:30 am on Sunday. I didn't stay up to watch the entire thing, I actually Skyped Jacob during most of it, but, it was pretty obvious FSU was going to win...

Currently, I just finished my last midterm for macro. I have one more essay to write for English and I have to present my Spanish powerpoint before exam start. I'll be taking macro and Spanish this week, and math next week. My other two classes don't have a final exam, which is nice, for now.

I have 10 days left here and it set in a few days ago that Dara, and Caitlin, but Dara especially will not be here when we return next semester. My other friends will all be in gold apartments next semester, but I'm staying in gold, so we'll see how that all works out too. But on the bright side...I'll be home in 10 days! I have already decided that I'm bringing my large suitcase home, even though I won't need that much room, and then I'll stuff it with food for next semester. I have my list started: mac and cheese, brownie mix, jello, ranch dressing, and peanut butter (of course).

Thanksgiving

November 26

The day started with Spanish class, which was ended early due to an FSU Valencia American Football game. I got help with my power point and then went up to my room to do something productive, like macro.

Dara and I went to lunch, because we both needed a break. She ditched our dinner date the night before, for a guy, so I had to get caught up. He actually ended up walking by where we were...he didn't notice us, but I though it was kinda sketchy.

We, the FSU students, took a bus to Tony Roma's, the restaurant where we'd be eating Thanksgiving dinner. The menu choice was very interesting, but no one was really complaining. The FSU faculty joined us, so that was kind of fun. Overall it was one of the best Thanksgivings I've ever had. Some students made speeches, and our program director, Ignacio's, daughter was there trying to be the center of attention. She's about 7 and speaks both English and Spanish. She wanted to read some of the speeches but she was too quiet and she kept laughing, and we'd cheer anyways, and that made her giggle more, it was hilarious and adorable. It was just a great night.

My friends and I walked back, but we took every long way or back road we could. Lia was a little upset with her roommates, so we were trying to distract her, I think it worked. I also think they're fine now, for the moment. We rode a few carousels, sang Christmas songs as we walked, took some cliche middle school bathroom pictures, went to a bar, it was great. I'll repeat that over and over again, because, it's true. We came across a few pigs (men) along the way who were very rude and obviously did not want to continue talking to me because I was, "being rude," and I was, because this guy was a jerk and his job is to ask if we'd go to whatever club he represents, not follow us halfway down the street. That was not okay, and I was getting angry. And then there was another guy in a car, he was a pig too, just take my word for it. I made it very clear to him that he was one, as well, so, no worries.

Mi familia
Mom, well everyone, Skyped me when I got back, but that's just because she didn't want me to forget her. Dad had told me to take my "family photo," on Thanksgiving, like we do at home, and I did and sent it with the caption, "Mi nuevo familia," which is, "my new family." I'm not wrong...but, Mom was obviously feeling left out. ;)

November 23

Last night I had a very long Skype date with Jake and then another fairly long Skype session with Madison. It was well past midnight but she didn't care. It was nice, though, I miss her.

Today we went to the mall for an upcoming English assignment. I walked around with Jacqueline trying to find the information we needed and we got distracted with all of this stuff we thought we should buy. With Thanksgiving coming up, we decided maybe we should do our own little Black Friday thing. Although, that is not an actual event in Spain, we're going to make it happen.

Also, only two more Monday's until I'm back in Ohio! I'm well aware that I've missed some snow and I'm very upset.

November 21

I slept in, which is rare for me, especially on the weekends, but this was my first Saturday spent in Valencia in the past 3 weeks. I took advantage. I didn't actually want to leave my bed, but I forced myself to go on a long walk, just to say I did something.

When I got back Dara was downstairs studying, because she's insane, so I brought her food because I'm the greatest, also, because she asked.

Later that night we met up with Emilia, her (our?) friend from China, to sit in the beggars walkway and try to sell some of her paintings. In Valencia you cannot sell without a permit until after 9pm, so we got pizza first and then went to set up shop. About an hour in, I was way too cold and called it a night. Dara texted me at midnight though that they had sold one, which was their goal. They wanted to sell at least one.

Side note: It was only 50 degrees Fahrenheit and I was cold. Coming home is going to be really sucky.

November 19

Last night Dara, Lia, Caitlin, Jacqueline and I went out for a cheuqe dinner. It was an "American style" restaurant, and it was great. There were free refills on drinks from the machine, which is something that is not done around Europe and bendy straws! We had pretty great time. Jacqueline has mono and Brittany has the flu and we leave in 3 weeks. We're trying to get in all of our friend time now until we have to split for a month, and not see Dara until the next fall...I've made really great friends here and I am really proud of that. Last night made me realize that. Having been traveling with Dara and Jacqueline being sick and not seeing Lia (or Brittany, but I didn't go to see her last night either-the roommates told us we shouldn't so Caitlin and I didn't...Lia did, but, she's stubborn) made me realize what a big part of my life they've become. We all came over here not knowing anyone, without any family members near, so we all just had to deal with each other, it's not like we could hide from each other. This program is a pretty great deal.

Anyways, afterwards they got gelato, not Lia, because she's been off sugar for 3 days now ;) and I got a crepe, which sounded much better than ice cream. Also, you can't go back to Spanish gelato once you've had it from Italy.

We're at 20 days now and exams are coming up, oh, and there is this group project thing due tonight that everyone is just kind of winging at the moment...

November 18

This morning we got our Spanish citizenship cards. Finally, I might add. We could have saved a lot of money at a lot of places if we had, had those earlier. It's very difficult to prove that you are "a resident of the EU" with a visa that only lasts 90 days.

I also sent out my paperwork for London today, so that's official. I guess it was technically official when Dad bought the plane tickets, but now there is really no going back. The International Programs director gave me a "gold star" for completing them and return them quickly. They must not have that happen very often.

Last night I scheduled for classes, which was fun. It's probably not nearly as hectic or exciting here as it is in Tallahassee, but, regardless, still exciting. I kept thinking that I was in Spain and I should take "fun" classes, but then I remembered that my parents expected me to graduate in four years. I'm taking two math classes and all of the boring classes just to stay on track. Microeconomics, for example, would be much more helpful if I were taking it as an actual class, but I was told I should get it out of the way, so that's what I'm doing. In London, I'll be taking the accounting courses I need, but one "session" out of the three don't offer any class that's required for me to take. That'll be my one fun class. ;)

Rome

November 12

Dara and I woke up bright and early (not actually bright at all) to catch a bus to the airport. In the lobby of the hotel we met up with Maggie, who was flying to London, and she walked with us. When we got to the bus stop there were two places the bus could be. Dara, being Dara, asked very single person she saw and it was good too, because after so long of waiting we ended up moving across the street. The guy from Boston, who was also waiting, came with us and ended up spotting the bus in some weird location. We all ran to the bus and made it on just before it left...it was an adventure.

I couldn't sleep on the plane, and the landing was actually, most likely, the worst landing I've ever experienced, it was really, really, rough. Once getting to the airport we got cheap bus tickets to a station near our hostel and on we went. We walked to the hostel, was able to check-in early, and just laid on our beds for a half an hour before going to explore.

We walked to the catacombs...which is probably something most people don't do, as there were points where we were walking in the streets due to lack of sidewalks. I also got this pizza sandwich thing along the way, because I didn't really eat breakfast. Dara had bought sandwiches the previous night, left them un-refrigerated, and ate them anyways...gross. We bought our tickets, did the tour, but they took out all of the bones about 40 years ago when people started stealing them...so there wasn't too much to see, it was interesting though. We found a bus that would take us back towards our side of town. On our walk back to the hostel Dara got this mini lasagna, but they didn't give her a fork. We sat in the room, while she ate it with her fingers, that was an experience. It worked, though, she ate it all and said it was the best lasagna she'd ever had.

We walked towards the Colosseum and stopped to get gelato along the way. We walked around the Colosseum and the arc at night and took some photos, of course (that Dara has). We also listened in on one couple talking to another, one was on their honeymoon and the other it was a spontaneous 27th anniversary trip. The older couple was giving the newly weds advice and it was kind of entertaining. Also, the older couple had nine children, and when they left the younger couple sat down and decided they did not want nine children.

November 13

This day we decided to buy tickets for a hop-on, hop-off bus tour. We decided it would be worth it because we'd have a guided tour, and transportation to all of the main attractions. We did a full circuit of the tour, per Dara's request, then got off at Palatine Hill, which is one of the oldest parts of the city. Here we bought tickets for that and the Colosseum, which was smart because we didn't have to wait in line at the Colosseum then.

After the hill we got paninos, sandwiches, which were really good, and walked back towards the Colosseum. The inside was not what I was expecting, there were no steps or seats! Apparently, once it was out of commission people took the bricks to build roads and houses and that's why it's missing a lot.

We took the bus to the Spanish steps, which were under construction and walked towards the Borghese Museum, which is located in a park, at dark. It was only about 5:30, but it was dark, so I was being really skeptical about where we were going. We made it there, but they were no longer selling tickets, which was bummer for Dara who really wanted to see it. We walked back towards the Trevi Fountain. We had to fight for a spot to take photos, but we had no problem throwing our coins in.

As it was our last "official" night in Rome, we got wine and pasta and stumbled upon the BEST gelato ever. No joke, it was the best.

When we got back to the hostel I had found out Zoboomafoo had died, Dara, who had never watched the show, watched at least 2 episodes that night. Then, as I was checking up on the news I got the breaking news alert on Paris and after a while of refreshing the CNN feed, I decided I just needed to go to sleep.

November 14

This was the day for The Vatican. We tried to wait in line, but ended up going to get tickets through some company. At least here we got prices off for being students, the majority of places we've been didn't give us discounts unless we were a part of the EU, (which we are, we just don't have our residency cards yet). Anyways, we made it into the museum and to the Sistine Chapel, it's pretty awesome. We actually did that twice. The company we got our tickets from told us to go through the right door instead of the left when exiting the chapel, to get to the Basilica, but we wanted to go through the museum all the way first. So after the first time round we got a huge slice of pizza for lunch and water for only 5 Euro. My pizza actually had scrambled eggs and sausage on it, it tasted like breakfast, it was great. We then did our second run through to the Sistine Chapel and onto St. Peter's.

St. Peter's is HUGE! The largest in the world, it's honestly insane. The amount of time that it must have taken to build and paint inside....insane. Dara and I decided to pay the 6 Euros to climb the 551 steps to the top of the dome. It was well worth it. The sight at the top looking into the basilica was great, but so was looking out over Rome from the outside of the dome.

We stopped for celebratory gelato, having climbed up and down all 551 steps, on our way back to the hostel for our bags. We ended up being about 10 minutes late for the bus to the airport and the next wasn't for an hour and fifteen minutes, which is dumb. We had time though, so we weren't worried. Dara took a nap in the McDonalds, and we just waited until 6:30.

The bus ride was very stop and go, so by the time we got to the airport I felt absolutely sick. I had crackers for dinner, which was fine by me, and we were on our plane by 9pm. We got back to Valencia half an hour early, but we had to wait that extra half an hour for the metro anyways.

Madrid y Toledo

November 9

Caitlin and I ran to the bank Monday morning to get me cash, and to pick up breakfast before we left. The bus ride was about 5 hours long, and we stopped halfway for lunch. We couldn't really eat lunch because it was only 11:30 and the place we stopped at didn't offer much. I ate trail mix and crackers, a very nutritious lunch. We had a couple hours of free time to explore the city before we had to meet back up at the hotel. My friends and I walked around to find Dara deodorant and get a little snack. We did an hour long walking tour, of the city, with a guide and then headed back to the hotel for a little while. Jacqueline, who wasn't feeling well, and I tried to nap, but that didn't happen because Brittany and Lia came into our room all hyped up and jumping all over our beds.
Dinner was in the hotel and it wasn't that delicious. They gave us croquettes and some weird "lasagna" like dish. It was nothing like lasagna, and it was gross. Croquettes are also not my style, they're mushy and they don't taste right...all in all it was very disappointing. After dinner Brittany, myself, and Dara walked with Jacqueline and Alicia (FSU-Valencia Assistant Director) to get Jacqueline drugs. It's very easy to get antibiotics and whatnot here and Spain, all you have to do is tell them what's wrong or hurting and they just give it to you. It was like a literal drug deal too! This must be how they came about. It was a 24 hour pharmacy, but you had to exchange and speak to the pharmacist through a gated door. We exchanged money and antibiotics through the holes in the gate...it was very entertaining.  We got back to the hotel around 10:30 pm and decided to take a walk.

Lia, Jacqueline, and myself walked together, arm in arm, most of the way, because that's how Lia likes it, but Dara and Brittany got left behind because they were taking too long talking. They ended up walking the other direction as us with other FSU students. We had a few great conversations. I felt like I was back in my AP English class with a few of them. Politics, poverty, gender, sex, race, fixing the world, etc. sometimes it got really serious and sometimes...not so much. It was great time. Walks like those let you learn a lot about your friends, in a good way, I promise.  We got back around 12:30 and called it a night.

November 10

TUESDAY WE WENT TO TOLEDO! I was excited. We took a bus there and we, the intelligent students we are decided to watch Shrek on our way there. We took a tour of Toledo, and walked up a lot of hills. We stopped at a cathedral, a synagogue, and a church, apparently, "Holy Toledo" didn't come from thin air.

After the tour we were given some free time and Dara and I went off to explore. We found a place that took cheques and we ate there for lunch. On our way back to the meeting spot we decided to stop for chocolates. The guy working at the place was from Argentina and he spoke English very, very well. He told us he came for a ten day visit to see his aunt a few years ago and he decided to just stay. Somewhere along the way, Dara informed to man that I was from the "other Toledo," and he knew exactly where that was, "Ohio?!" Haha, yep! I was having a good time there. As we were leaving he gave us a free sample of marzipan, a specialty in Toledo.

Started with 4
Ended with 5
We took the bus back to the hotel and decided that was the time to go for churros and chocolate. The tour lady from the day before showed us where the so called "best" place for churros and chocolate in Madrid was so we went there. I was not very impressed, neither were my friends. There was nothing super spectacular about them nor the chocolate. Actually, Jacqueline and I ended up adding peppermint to our chocolate and it became more of a peppermint hot chocolate, which was much more delightful. I still did not finish it though. Lia, however, had no problem finishing her chocolate, and Dara's, mine, Jacqueline and Brittany's, and even one of the lady's, who was watching her down them. It was insane. The lady was watching Lia drink all of ours and offered up the rest of her own, so Lia took that too. That's Lia.

"Intervention"
We just walked and explored until we decided to eat. We went outside of the palace and there were flowers everywhere from a ceremony that had taken place that day. We had to take many upon many photographs, obviously, because we had all of these flowers. I don't have those, though, I'm sure they'll be on Facebook soon though. We walked to the Cathedral that was near the palace and had a friendship intervention. Lia and Jacqueline were getting on each others nerves so Dara staged an intervention in which we all had to partake. That was interesting. A lot of fun, nonetheless.

After dinner we went back to the hotel and, being (basically) November 11, Jacqueline goes, "Rebecca, guess what?"

"We have less than a month until we leave?"

"YES!"

Not that we don't love being in Spain and becoming friends with the people we have, but the countdown is on and we are definitely excited.

November 11

We went to two museums on Wednesday, both of which we were at for an hour maximum. It was pretty lame, it definitely seemed like "filler" day. As though everyone at FSU was thinking, "we have to give them something to do," so we walked to the first museum Reina Sofia, the long way, I might add. We were there for all of 45 minutes before we were let go for lunch. Caitlin, Jacqueline, and I got KFC, because why not? Also-cheques. Then we walked towards the second museum.

After the second museum we walked, with Nahee, who is wheelchair bound after her foot injury in Jaca, so we pushed her up and down the hills to get to the Glass Palace in one of the parks. It was about a half an hour walk there and back, and it honestly wasn't super spectacular, but the park was gorgeous.

We went to dinner and a flamenco show with FSU and it was an amazing show! The one I saw last year in Barcelona has nothing on this one. Then we went back to the hotel and Dara and I set an alarm for 3:20 so we could catch our flight out.

London Part II

November 7

We started our day with a classic English breakfast at our favorite place, yet again. This day, however, it was sprinkling just a tad on our way to the cafe, and down-pouring when we got out. The rain lightened as we got closer to the metro station, but once we got off at Green Park, it was still very rainy.
Dara trying to steal a blown away
umbrella because hers sucked.
We walked through Green Park, which is gorgeous this time of year, to get to Buckingham Palace. In off season the Changing of the Guard only takes place every other day, so this was the day to see it. We got there fairly early, about 45 minutes early, to get a good waiting spot. As we were waiting we spotted the sign that said that "The Changing of the Guard may be cancelled due to wet weather," really? We are in London, you would think they'd be used to some rain. Pfsh. Yet, we waited. The Policemen came around at 11 telling everyone it had been cancelled, but we didn't let a little rain detour us from taking photos.

We decided that, with continuous rainfall, we should do something indoors, therefore, it was the perfect time to go to The London Dungeon. Neither Dara nor myself knew what The Dungeon was, but we went anyways. It's actually a very cool theatrical walk through of the history and myths of London. It was interactive and sometimes very creepy. We met Sweeny Todd in his barber shop and Jack the Ripper in a bar. In the Jack the Ripper scene, the lights would go out and then come back on with him in front of someone, it was extremely terrifying because you couldn't see where he was or hear where he was going. The actors told us the history and were in character the entire time. They were not allowed to touch us though, which was a blessing, because Dara and I were arm and arm the entire time. Anyways, if anyone were travelling to London in the near future and were into that sort of thing, I'd highly recommend it, it was very cool.

Our (Dara's) friend, Valentina is studying in England and took a train into London in attempts to meet up with us, and stay with one of her friends. After The Dungeon we tried to find WiFi to contact her, but we were never in it as the same time as her, and it was just a mess. I convinced Dara not to wait around, not after mine and Jacqueline's experience with Brittany in Germany, so we continued onward, wherever that was.

Onward led us into darkness. As we started walking the sun had already fallen and it was only 4:45...how sad. We made it to the shopping district in London. As we walked we just happened to pass by a Cinnabon Store...so we stopped in, and we both got two humongous cinnamon rolls. They were amazing. Amazing. We walked and ate until we came across the restaurant that we decided to eat at. Cinnamon rolls first, then dinner.

Our waiter at dinner spoke Spanish, so he and Dara were chatting up a storm for a good part of dinner. We good food AND dessert, but we decided to save the wine for Italy because everything in London is super expensive. Seriously. We left the restaurant and took the metro to St. Paul's Cathedral, the second largest church in the world, just to walk around the outside. We didn't make it inside during our trip to London, which was extremely disappointing once we walked around the outside of it that night. Neither of us realized how huge it was, and didn't know it was the second largest in the world until our trip to Rome this past weekend. Regardless, it was great to see and I'm sure I'll find my way back to London soon. ;)

Once back in the hostel we packed up our things to prepare for our 3:30 am departure the next morning. It was only 10:30 pm at the moment, so Dara climbed up onto my bed, the top bunk, and we Skyped Lia, Brittany, and Jacqueline who were still in Valencia. It was a very interesting night. The WiFi was very shotty, which made for a more memorable Skype experience with mis amigas.

 November 8

At 3:30 in the morning we took a cab to the bus stop to catch our bus to the airport. It is awful sitting in a taxi in London because they drive on the wrong side of the road and every time our driver turned I kept thinking he was turning into the wrong lane of traffic. It was terrible. He also tried to convince us that he could drive us to the airport, which I'm sure he could, but we're not that dumb. There was a cheap bus that would take us there so we didn't need his stupid, expensive, taxi fare.

Once we got home both Dara and I ended up taking naps and packing for our trip to Madrid the next morning. I also recall watching a lot of Netflix, because I had very little motivation to do anything else.

London Part I

November 5th

Dara and I headed for the airport around 5:30pm. We used our metro passes to get there, but we couldn't actually get into to the airport with them because it's in a different zone. The guy made us pay there, to get into the airport, so we essentially wasted one of our passes, but he also didn't charge us the actual rate...we think he felt sorry for us. Stupid metro.

Once we got in we scoped out food and ended up at Burger King because they took cheques. We then ran into one of Dara's friends, Jasmine, who goes to the youth group stuff with her, and she was on our flight. We landed around 10:15 at night, London time, and went through customs to get a stamp! Yay for stamps! But, they grilled me. "Who are you traveling with? Where are you staying? How much money do you have? Do you have any relatives here? Where are you coming from? Where are you headed back to? How long will you be here? How long have you been in Valencia? Why are you in Valencia? When are you leaving Valencia?" It was insane. Freaking insane.

We then had to buy train tickets into central London, about an hour away, and ended up taking the same train as Jasmine. After we got into the center Dara and I had to buy metro passes to the stop closest to our hostel. We bought the tickets, but they wouldn't let us through, which was worrisome, but there was a nice metro lady there, who spoke English, that let us through. We walked to the hostel and got in and settled by 1:30am.

November 6th

We decided to "treat ourselves" and sleep in. We left the hostel around 10 and walked to this tiny little cafe for breakfast. The Mapa Cafe. They had REAL breakfast, it was amazing. I had hot chocolate with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and tomatoes (that Dara ate for me) and we were supposed to get toast, but only one lady was working and we didn't need it that much. From there we walked to the tube, the metro, and took it to Westminster. There we walked to the London Eye to get our "package" tickets. We bought a deal online for The London Eye, The London, Dungeon, and Madame Tussauds, the wax museum,

We went to Madame Tussauds first because it wasn't as centrally located. We took TONS and TONS of photos. Emphasis on the TONS, didja notice? It was much larger than we anticipated and every time we thought we were at the end, we weren't. *The majority of our trip photos were taken on Dara's phone, so they will most likely be on Facebook at some-point, but at the moment, I don't have very many. Once we got out the sun was getting low, because it was almost 4 o'clock and the sun sets there at 4:30, how weird?!

We decided to go to King's Cross next and get our Platform 9 3/4 photo, because, it's London, it's a must. It was a lot of fun. They actually have people there to hand you, your house's scarf and a professional photographer, I wasn't expecting that. We waited in line for 20 minutes and the people working there were really energetic and entertaining, we had a great time.

We went back to the London Eye just as dusk was really starting to settle in. It got dark in our half an hour loop, so we saw the city mostly in darkness, which is honestly a super cool sight. Everything was lit up and it was reflecting off the water. It was a gorgeous sight.

Dara and I then walked along the river. It was only 6pm, but it felt like midnight because of how dark it was. We found this Italian place to eat at, that wasn't too expensive, which is a plus. We were going for cheap this trip...the USD to GDP is $1 to 1.5£, it's ridiculous. Once we were done eating we continued our trek and came across The London Bridge. We walked across it and towards our hostel, which wasn't far from it. It was a great end to fantastic day.

November 3

November 1

Not being able to concentrate on homework, and not willing to go back into my room for more than 2 minutes, unless absolutely necessary, it ended up being a very, very lazy day. My friends here got me started on Suits, a TV Show, that I can now watch on Netflix (Yay! Spanish Netflix!). I chilled on the couch in the common area all day, trying not to fall asleep, even though that's all I want to do, and streaming, episode after episode. It was a magical day. Now I'm behind on macro, but that's college right?

November 2

My first class was at 2:30, so I ended up sleeping in (after being woken up at 7:30 by my roommate) until 9. It POURED here that day. It has rained in Valencia while I've been here, but it has never stormed. Tree branches were flying, leaves everywhere, the wind and rain were so strong, it was insane. That woke me up, so I just relaxed until the rain subsided. After, when the cleaning ladies came into our room, I walked to Consum to get the necessities for the week, bread, eggs, trail mix stuff.

During class we watching a lot of music videos and played a game (which my friends and I won) about different, emotions, lyrics, and movies associated with songs. Our next essay is about how music has affected our life, and because of the lingering storm she didn't want to take us out and about, so we stayed in.

Later that night, when I was doing my math homework I made chicken and broccoli mac and cheese. Dara ended up coming over to eat with me and plan for London. She was there until midnight. I was sooo tired, at least, once I fell onto my bed.

November 3

Today I had to wake up early to get to the UPV, which was rough for me considering it was pas midnight when I finally got to sleep. I don't know how I survived 3 am lab reports in high school. *Sidenote* Glad I never have to take a lab ever again. Anyways, I walked with my peanut butter on toast to the tram, and about halfway there I realized that everyone is staring at me, most likely, not because I'm eating and walking, but, because it's a weird substance on toast. What is peanut butter? We got to class and Sergio was having a rough day. He ended up going to the doctor and the FSU trig teacher taught us instead, she was much more understandable. She also got much more annoyed by the guys messing around. It was pretty entertaining. This day, I was also given our WiFi login for the UPV. That was a mistake on Jacqueline's part, because now I'm really not going to pay attention.

Now I'm sitting in the library area, waiting for my food to be delivered...if I would have known it would be taking this long I would have brougt down my homework, but I didn't...so, this was the next closest to homework.

Halloween 2015

stupid. stupid. stupid.

The dinner went alright...but there were way too many people and not enough kitchen/living area space. The thought was fun though, and dressing up was interesting. There was so much food and a lot of cleaning up to do, but that's okay. Dara and some of the girls went to a Haunted House afterwards, after the game, but I was not feeling that. Maggie had told us that they grab you and that they were chased, literally, down the road at the end of it...so, I decided that wasn't for me. Instead, Caitlin, Jacqueline, and myself stayed in to watch Netflix. We started going through the horror movies and then decided against that, so we watch Kicking and Screaming instead. We cleaned up after that, and ended up going back to our respective apartments a little after 1 am.

She was a pinata
Everyone else at FSU were either out, going out, or they were too drunk to go out. Seriously, it was 6 pm and there were already people passed out over toilets and on couches, it was the talk of the building. Gross. Anyways, my roommate, gets in at around, 4 am and throws up. On herself. In her bed. On the floor. In all honesty, I thought about just leaving her there so she could wake up the next morning feeling ridiculously stupid and mortified. She should be. She's stupid. Why would anyone want to get so drunk that they vomit and can't even recall the night? Why? I don't understand.

Anyways, after a while I realized I wouldn't be able to sleep, there or in the living room knowing that she'd just laying in her own disgusting fluids. So, I went down to reception, at 4:15 in the morning, to see if they had any sort of disinfectant, or bleach, or any sort of soap. One thing they don't supply us with because we have people that come in and clean for us...on Mondays.

With the small language barrier, I don't think she really understood what I was asking for, but she told me that she'd do it. She did. She found a mop..but I don't think any soap really. But, whatever. Cleaned her up the best she could. There was no getting her out of bed, she could barely roll over, she was so out of it. Stupid. So, after that all went down I was then wide awake, right, so I did some homework...until about 7 am.

I guess the perks of being up that early was that I could easily talk to Jake, Madison, and Shelby because it was only midnight-ish at home. It was a rough night.

I woke up and went to the park, the riverbed, to walk, angrily, mostly because I did not want to be there when my roommate woke up. I'd give her the decency of being mortified by herself for a while. I also hit up church, because, why not? Came back, she was up, looking pitiful on a half made bed, and the washing machine going. Sucks. You're in college now, gotta deal with everything yourself now, no mother to take care of you, especially not me. Nuhuh.

Now, I'm currently in the library trying writing this...but I came down to work on macro. I got distracted, I'm too tired to write anything. Also, there are about 8 of the older girls sitting here reminiscing of what they remember about last night. Fun stuff. Money was stolen. Some girl was walked home by a cop. Another left her purse in one of the apartments, so really early this morning she took the receptionist around opening the doors until she found it. What?

I just don't realize how people can be so stupid. Also, for not celebrating Halloween, the Spaniards, really like to celebrate Halloween.
