November 19

Last night Dara, Lia, Caitlin, Jacqueline and I went out for a cheuqe dinner. It was an "American style" restaurant, and it was great. There were free refills on drinks from the machine, which is something that is not done around Europe and bendy straws! We had pretty great time. Jacqueline has mono and Brittany has the flu and we leave in 3 weeks. We're trying to get in all of our friend time now until we have to split for a month, and not see Dara until the next fall...I've made really great friends here and I am really proud of that. Last night made me realize that. Having been traveling with Dara and Jacqueline being sick and not seeing Lia (or Brittany, but I didn't go to see her last night either-the roommates told us we shouldn't so Caitlin and I didn't...Lia did, but, she's stubborn) made me realize what a big part of my life they've become. We all came over here not knowing anyone, without any family members near, so we all just had to deal with each other, it's not like we could hide from each other. This program is a pretty great deal.

Anyways, afterwards they got gelato, not Lia, because she's been off sugar for 3 days now ;) and I got a crepe, which sounded much better than ice cream. Also, you can't go back to Spanish gelato once you've had it from Italy.

We're at 20 days now and exams are coming up, oh, and there is this group project thing due tonight that everyone is just kind of winging at the moment...
