This morning we were having tea at the National Gallery as a send off for the session 2 group. Normally this consists of walking there at 11:15, waiting for everyone so we can take a group photo, and then going inside around noon. Instead, we got there and it was pouring, so, after waiting 10 minutes in the rain, my friends and I started to head towards the gallery, in which case, everyone followed us. We proceeded to get yelled at, for being in the building, because even though we had a reservation, it wasn't until 12:15, and it was only 11:30. We were all pushed back outside, into the rain, and told we could take cover under the overhang outside of the National Gallery, in which case, the guards yelled at us. We were moved back inside, we tried to squeeze 150 people up against one side of the wall, and surprise, we were told to go back outside. This was not going to happen again, so we, my friends and I, found this very large open area to stand in while they all went back outside to take the picture. The tea was the exact same as before, with the desserts, scones and sandwiches, but the scones never disappoint.
After the tea Aleesia, Emily, JT, Christian, Cate, and I walked to the Thames, in the rain to take Aleesia's "Fourth of July" photo. This consisted of her dropping tea into the river, which failed miserably because of the wind, butt it's the thought that counts. We went back to the flats to watch a movie, which was spectacular because everyone else went to Camden, and the entire place was silent. We had some hot chocolate, made some snacks and all was great.
I went on a walk after the movie and it led me to Victoria Park, Big Ben, South Bank and this amazing rainbow. It was drizzling the entire time, but I couldn't really feel it, I just saw it. It looked like a snowstorm over the water. It started to rain harder on the way back, but I had my jacket so I didn't mind, it was still really nice outside.
When I got back everyone (Brooke, Brittney, Reid and Dom) was arguing about going whether to go out or not. Alayna and I both left on Saturday, so we weren't leaving the apartment, but they were, apparently. Reid was waiting for them, for 2 hours on the couch, just doing his thing. They all had to get makeup on and change 2,857,839 times. They didn't come back down until 12:15am, which is really, really late, London time, to leave for a club. By this point, Alayna, Reid and I are beyond upset. Dom, Brooke and Brittney we're getting ready in my room, so I couldn't sleep. They were yelling so loudly we could hear them downstairs, which interrupted Alayna's show. Reid no longer wanted to go out and then they started giving him crap for it. Alayna and I just wanted them to leave, which they did eventually...only to come back, because Brooke and Brittney only brought 5 pounds with them, as if that'd be enough for anything. Reid decided he was completely done, and he stayed in. Brittney was also upset, but I don't think she really wanted to go to begin with. Dom and Brooke were trying to get them to go, now 12:45 and Alayna and I still just wanted everyone gone. Dom and Brooke finally left and the uproar started. Brittney, Alayna, Reid and I had a very open conversation about our apartment and our thoughts surrounding everybody, including people in the room. After a while Brittney went outside, so then we were waiting up for her. Reid, Alayna and I continued our nice conversation, and it just really made me appreciate their company. Our conversations were beyond weird, it was great. By the time I actually got to bed it was right around 3, and I had to be up and ready to leave by 6...yay for poor (actually great) life choices!
