May 25

FSU had a day trip planned to visit Hampton Court Palace, where King Henry VIII lived, but the depart time was too early for most of us. Everyone slept in until, at least, noon, except me. I woke up and went for a run, came back, ate, showered and got ready for the day before my friends were even alert. At 1, though, everyone had to leave the building because Christian set off the fire alarm.

At 2 we left for Leicester Square to buy tickets for a show that night. TKTS was selling tickets, half off, on Wednesdays during May. We bought tickets 47 pound tickets to Guys and Dolls for 23 pounds! It was an exciting moment. Then we went to lunch at Nandos, a famous chain restaurant here known for its chicken. We walked around the city a bit more before heading home, because it looked like it was going to rain.

At 6 we left for the show and got home around 11. It was a good production, but the accents were killing me. They were trying to do American accents, NYC style, but ti just didn't seem to be working well together. The Grandfather in the show kept his British accent which, although was out of place, didn't sound as bad, overall, as the guy who played Sky. I also sang every single song, because Jacqueline told me to, "go for it," when I asked if it would bother her. I was that person. I'm becoming Mom.

When I got home my roommates had also just returned from dinner and we watched Burlesque together before going to bed around 2.
