Today we had a guest speaker from Deloitte come to our accounting class. She was from Kazakhstan but moved to Orlando in 2001, then moved to London in 2012. She has worked with Deloitte in Florida and they sent her over to teach some of their London teams. The European companies that trade on the NY Stock Exchange don't know all the ins and outs, because they have to follow the American trade laws as opposed to the European ones. It was interesting to hear her story. She's moving back to America in August, because she's tired of being here and her kids being in Florida. It made the class a little more bearable.
After class Aleesia, Jacqueline, and I met up with Alyssa once more before she left. We took a walk down Oxford Street and went shopping. She left around 5 and then I took to studying. I would look over a chapter, for about half an hour, then watch an episode of Full House and continue that to get through all 5 chapters. It was a system that worked out pretty great for me, if I do say so myself.
