At 6 we left for the Roundhouse, because we had tickets for Poetry Slam! Brooke and I were talking about it one night and we decided to look up events. We bought tickets for 5 pounds and it was so worth it. Aleesia, Jacqueline, Brooke, Brittany and I went. It was the first heat of a competition (That Aleesia, Jacqueline and I will be in Ireland for :( ) and the second heat is tonight, but it was sold out. It was amazing. The YouTube videos don't do it justice. We saw 14 contestants preform twice, and each of the judges, all with well known shows in London preform. My 3 favorite people made it into the next round, and another that I enjoyed, didn't, but he's already well known, so that could be why. Rachel spoke about how men treat her on the street, Tom spoke about his best friend leaving for the Royal Marines, and Tommy talked about how poetry is not dead, contrary to popular belief. The last man, Joshua, he wrote a poem to his little sister, and he was big and bearded and it was so sweet.
We stopped at a Domino's that was near the tube before heading back, and we ate most of our meal on the way back (the tube was nearly empty, and we were in the back, so we decided it was okay.) Then Aleesia, Christian, and I played peanuts, again, they're obsessed. It was 3 decks, but by game 2, I was tired, so I went back home to sleep and they continued until early in the morning.
